Happy New Year! It's hard to believe that we have hit the half way point in the 2015-2016 Rotary year! The Perrsyburg Rotary Club has had a successful first half, but our work is not done yet. We have so much to look forward to in the coming months!
Mark your calendars, the 32nd Annual Perrysburg Rotary Auction is only a month away! Registration is currently open and items are still being accepted. This wonderful event is sure to be a success and will benefit Camp Courageous & The Arc of Northwest Ohio Inc. and the Perrysburg Rotary Service Foundation. February 6th will be a great evening of fun, food and fellowship! For more information on the annual charity auction, please contact Rick Thielen.
A service project that is worked on year round is our Annual Community Garage Sale. The garage sale will be held on June 4th but is constantly being worked on throughout the year. Many people have graciously donated items to our sale and the coming months are sure to be busy with pick ups and deliveries. If you are interested in volunteering your time with our garage sale service project, please contact Chet Welch.
To round out our 2015-2016 Rotary year and to kick off our 2016-2017 year, the Perrysburg Rotary Club is helping to plan and celebrate the City of Perrysburg's Bicentennial! The Bicentennial Committee has already been hard at work orchestrating the many events for this huge celebration. From parades to parties, the Bicentennial will be an exciting time for the City and the Club. As we return back to our regular meeting schedule, we are excited to welcome Todd Robinson, Mobility Coordinator for WSOS Community Action Commission, Inc. as our guest speaker for Friday, January 8th. Mr. Robinson will be speaking on behalf of the transportation services that are offered by WSOS and how he manages and coordinates the services to meet the needs of their customers.
