On Friday, June 17th we had the wonderful honor of gathering together to celebrate our 38th Annual Charter Night. We had a joyous time celebrating the completion of President Jennifer Fehnrich's presidential year and passing the gavel to President-Elect Bruce Samuelson. Below you will find a beautiful slide show honoring President Fehnrich's 2015 - 2016 Rotary year. Many thanks go out to Julie Kerr and the Historical Committee for graciously putting together the slide show to honor President Fehnrich.
In addition to the passing of the gavel, President Fehnrich took the time to honor a very special Perrysburg Rotarian. Much to the surprise of Rotarian Walt Celley, President Fehnrich honored him with a plaque for his 15 years of Service Above Self. As many of us are aware, Walt has decided to step down as chair of the STRIVE program. Walt has done such an amazing job working with the students at Penta Career Center and he will be greatly missed!
To view the program from Friday night, please view the power point below.
Be sure to join us on Friday, June 24th as President Fehnrich will be ringing the bell for the last time and passing the gavel along to President-Elect Samuelson!
We have been talking about the Perrysburg Bicentennial for months now and the time is finally here to celebrate the biggest events of this historic event! As we are all aware, the Rotary Club of Perrysburg is the official sponsor of the upcoming July 2nd Bicentennial Parade. Bob and Jackie Venzel have done an amazing job organizing and securing parade participants and we are beyond thankful for all their involvement. The Rotary float is sure to be one of the best in the parade line up. Jeff Normand and many fellow Rotarians have been hard at work finishing up the final touches and making sure we are not only seen but heard during the parade. As we head into the final week, the Parade Committee is still seeking our help. Below are a couple things we can do to show our support for the upcoming parade.
- Participate in the July 1 Parade Float Work Day. We will not be meeting at the Carranor for our regular meeting due to the upcoming July 4th holiday. However, we will be gathering to put the final touches on the float.
- Spread the word about the upcoming Parade. Many are still discovering that there will be a rather large parade coming through the downtown Perrysburg area and we would love help spreading the news. Please help us by posting the parade flyer on Social Media, sharing it via email, or by word of mouth. Click here to download the parade flyer.
Don't forget, on Monday, June 27th we will be gathering at Poco Piatti for our monthly Rotary After Hours. Come join us from 5pm - 7pm for a couple hours of food, fellowship, and fun!
