Perrysburg Rotary e-Bulletin for January 4, 2018
Happy New Year and welcome back to Rotary!!  After a few weeks off for the holidays we are ready to resume our regular weekly meetings!

Tomorrow, January 5th, we will be welcoming Santa Dave Davis as our guest speaker.  Santa Dave is a PMP, PgMP, & PBA is a practitioner of project and program management and a recognized professional in the field of helping businesses implement change. With over 30 years experience in private enterprise as a manager, project manager, program manager, business analyst, and knowledge manager.  In his free time he is the chairman of the Judy Hug annual Christmas Event and an active member of several other service organizations including: Mobile Meals, ALS Walk, S.A.V.E. and Nightingale's Harvest.

In addition to our guest speaker, we will be receiving updates from the Auction Committee!!  Be sure to bring your auction gift cards, craft beer, and wine to the meeting!!  We will be set up to collect the items from now until the auction.

We look forward to seeing you at Rotary!!!

Perrysburg Rotary Charity Auction

At our last Rotary meeting of 2017 we kicked off our Auction season, but for many on the planning committee, things have been rockin’ for quite a few months. Now is the time we look to all of you to help us pull the night together.

First off: THEME
This year, our theme is Rotary Rocks. It rocks our city. Our region. And our world. And we might just be the ONLY Rotary club in the world with its own rock band. Our very own band will be performing at the auction on February 3, 2018 to a hopefully sold out crowd. Our beneficiary for the Gifts from the Heart this year is Cherry Street Mission but that's only one piece of the puzzle. Most of the giving we do in the course of a year comes from the proceeds of this evening. It’s a big deal for our foundation!

Second: YOUR ROLE IN THE BAND
Everyone can contribute in a different way and at a different level. And that’s totally cool because we need all kinds of players in the band. Here’s how you can help:

  • Think of a company/business you can ask for a sponsorship. Whether it’s the top level of $5,000 or the silver sponsor of $500, every level receives recognition PLUS admissions to the event. If you need help with the request, contact Kim Klewer.
  • Sell your 5 Raffle tickets and ask for more from Cindy Russeau if you need them. Prize is your pick of a trip to Vegas, Jamaica or Cash!
  • Bring a bottle of wine ($15-25), gift card ($5-25), and/or six pack of craft beer (the fancy hipster kind, not MGD) to stock our Games of Chance.
  • Secure an awesome silent or live auction package. We go for priceless, so think of ways you can really make your item amazing and unique. We want experiences that can’t be valued or traded in bitcoins. Go to your favorite retailers and ask for a donation. We have donation letters ready for you.
  • Not a shopper? We have some professionals who can help you. Make a quick donation online and they will do the rest.
  • Make reservations for you and your friends for the auction night. Forward the e-invitation to your friends.
Third: HOW DO I DO ALL OF THIS?
You can find forms, online registration, online donation, online sponsorship information…basically everything you need at our auction website: https://prsf.ejoinme.org/rotaryrocks2018. If there’s something missing from there that you need, let me know and we will add it. We want this website to be ONE STOP SHOPPING for you and your guests. Easy peasy, lemon squeezy.

Bring items for games of chance or completed donation forms to meetings starting in January.

You can also send questions related to ANY part of the event to: auction@perrysburgrotary.org and it will be forwarded to the committee member who can help.

Thank you to our current 2018 Perrysburg Rotary Auction Sponsors!!  We are incredibly grateful for your support!!
