In addition to another packed Rotary meeting, we also welcomed several guests from Perrysburg City Schools. Will Robinson, Areeb Ahmed, Max Rossi and Dr. Beth Rohrbacher were kind enough to stop by our meeting last week to perform their annual Mock Trial for the Club. Will, Areeb, and Max are part of the Perrysburg Law and Government Explorer Post and have had the wonderful experience of learning about the governing law, the judicial system and court procedures. Coached by Dr. Rohrbacher and Judge S. Dwight Osterud, the Explorer Post will have the honor of competing this Friday in Wood County Common Pleas Court.
Another service project that Judge S. Dwight Osterud has held near and dear to his heart is the Perrysburg Rotary’s Learning Day by Day program. This past Monday, Our Town Perrysburg did a wonderful write up on the program and how it is impacting the children. If you haven’t had the opportunity to check out the latest piece that ran in the Our Town Perrysburg section, click here for the full article.
It would appear that we were quite popular in the Our Town Perrysburg section this week. Last Thursday the Club was also featured in an article about our latest charitable donation. Recently the Board approved a grant request t0 the Swat Relief Initiative to help with the rehabilitation/renovation of a school building in Shaukat Dara. To read the full article, click here.
