We had an awesome turnout at our last Friday meeting. Dr. Robert Forney, Chief Toxicologist at the Lucas County Coroner's Office provided us with a great presentation on the Heroin/Fentanyl Crisis in Northwest Ohio.
Dr. Forney and the Lucas County Coroner's Office currently serves 19 counties in Northwest Ohio and 2 counties in Southeast Michigan. As of the end of May 2016, the Coroner's Office has reported 99 deaths related to Heroin/Fentanyl.
In addition to providing us with the many facts related to the Heroin/Fentanyl Crisis, Dr. Forney also answered several questions and gave us with an incredibly informational fact sheet on these specific drugs.
Please be sure to join us tomorrow (August 26th) for our first Club Assembly of the 2016 - 2017 Rotary Year. President Bruce Samuelson will be giving us an outline of the upcoming year, committee responsibilities, and highlighting several upcoming dates!
