On Friday, April 29th, we welcomed Ashley Dibling, Sophia Walcher, and Maxwell Rossi as our special guest speakers. Ashley, Sophia, and Maxwell were the 2016 winners of the 4-Way Test Speech Competition. These three outstanding individuals gave three very thought provoking and encouraging speeches on how they are connecting the 4-Way test into their every day lives. It was a distinct honor to have Ashley, Sophia, and Maxwell at our weekly meeting and each student was presented with a check in honor of their speeches.
Community Service Opportunities
This past week two community services opportunities were brought to our attention. The first opportunity for the month is the Annual Camp Clean - Up at Camp Courageous. As many of you are aware, Camp Courageous was our selected charity for the Gifts from the Heart event at our annual auction in February. Their tremendous mission and amazing stories have continued to touch the lives of many throughout our community. The camp is currently in the process of setting up for their upcoming summer camp patrons. They are actively seeking volunteers to help with their annual camp clean-up during the dates and times listed below:
May 5th 3:00 - 7:00pm
May 6th 10:00am - 7:00 pm
May 7th 9am - 1:00 pm

For the last couple of years the Rotary Club of Perrysburg has been a proud supporter of the Girls on the Run of Northwest Ohio. We started our support of this great organization in 2014 by selecting them as the beneficiary for the Rotary River Run 5k and continued our support by providing a grant in 2015 to assist with their technology needs.
On May 15th the Girls on the Run will be finishing up their spring season with the largest number of participants they have ever had. Over 500 young girls will be lacing up their shoes to run in their annual 5k! If you are interested in volunteering for their upcoming 5k, please click here.
In addition, The Girls on the Run has graciously offered the Rotary Club of Perrysburg 5 complimentary race entries for the May 15th event. ***The Rotary Club of Perrysburg will not have a float in the upcoming Memorial Day Parade. Our float is currently under construction in preparation for the Perrysburg Bicentennial Parade in July!***
