Perrysburg Rotary Weekly Meeting for April 28, 2023

Join us Friday, April 28th, as we do a much needed Rotary Recap!! We have been very blessed to be exceptionally busy these last few weeks at Rotary. From Pickle Ball to Mercy Health Celebration to Boots 'N Bling, its time for a catch up. Additionally, we will be welcoming our STRIVE Students and cheering them on as finish up their year!

A few meeting notes:

As you join us for lunch this week, we respectfully ask that you silence your phones/notifications at the start of program.
If you are paying for your lunch online, please click here to log into your Rotary Account. Then click on "My Account Balance" to pay for your lunch. Lunch is $20.00. We will also be accepting payment at the meeting by check or exact cash. A buffet meal will be hosted at the Carranor Club starting at 11:45am.

Baseball Buddies with Miracle League of NWO - Volunteer Opportunity

It's spring time in Northwest Ohio and that means the baseball fields are busy! Our friends at the Miracle League of NWO have an amazing volunteer opportunity for us!

On May 7th, at Brentwood Park (320 Brentwood Drive, Northwood, Ohio), the Miracle League of NWO will host 5 - 1 Hour baseball games. They are in need of Baseball Buddies to join their baseball enthusiasts on the field to help them complete their baseball dreams.

All volunteers will be asked to fill out a Volunteer Registration Form and commit to one of the 5 games being hosted on May 7th. (Forms will be available at the Friday, April 28th meeting or via email).

Girls on the Run - Volunteer Opportunity

Calling all volunteers!!! The Girls on the Run NW Ohio has an awesome volunteer opportunity coming up for their 5k on May 13th!!

The You Glow Girl! Spring 5k will be held at The Shops at Fallen Timbers in Maumee. The start times vary depending on which volunteer opportunity you are interested in. A full list is detailed below.

If you have specific questions regarding this event, please reach out directly to Marie Gaertner.

They need volunteers for the following activities to ensure our event is a success!

Set-up and Tear Down
Registration
Course Marshalls
Running Buddies
Water Stations
Cheer Stations
Merchandise

The Perrysburg Rotary Club is a proud supporter of the Girls on the Run NW Ohio program. Last year we funded a grant request to help 25 young ladies with scholarships during the 2022 Fall Program.

It’s Pickleball season in Northwest Ohio and our community is ready to play!!

We are blessed to be able to coordinate with the City of Perrysburg to plan, raise funds and bring to fruition the next structure to Rotary Community Park.

On this amazingly beautiful April day we had the honor of joining our friends and family for the dedication of the Welch Family Pickleball Complex at Rotary Community Park!!

It’s a privilege to continue to support and serve our community!! We can’t wait to see what the future holds for Rotary Community Park.
