Perrysburg Rotary e-Bulletin for October 17, 2018

One Week. Seven Days. Lives Changed Forever.
On 10/22 we are kicking off a one week period where your donations to End Polio Now will be matched up to $500 by Perrysburg Rotary Service Foundation. And on top of that, you will receive Foundation Recognition points to match your donation (in increments of $100). It will hands down be the fastest way to your first or next Paul Harris Fellow.

But even bigger than our personal recognition is what we can do for the world. It’s hard to imagine that Polio is still an issue, but 19 cases have been reported in Afghanistan and Pakistan this year. And all it takes is an $.80 vaccine to make sure kids stay safe. 19 cases seems insignificant, but until we are at zero cases in a year there is always a chance for the virus to continue to spread.

$10,000 in Rotarian donations will be matched with another $10,000 by PRSF. That $20,000 then receives a 2 for 1 match by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, making a one week impact of $60,000 to help eradicate Polio. Can we do it?

A question you may have is, where exactly am I on giving right now and how can I make the most of this match? I encourage you to reach out to Club Secretary Ken Robinson or President Alison Frye if you want to know where you stand on your giving and what gift would make the most impact.

Our campaign will be sandwiched between two fun events…Rotary After Hours on 10/22 and a Pizza for Polio Fundraising night at Fifth Street Pub on 10/29. I hope you’ll join us for one or both of those events.  To view the flyers for the upcoming campaign, click here or view the images below.
