Perrysburg Rotary Weekly Meeting for May 12, 2023
 
Join us Friday, May 12th, as we welcome guest  speaker, Rotarian Tom Hosler, Perrysburg Schools Superintendent!  Tom will be presenting the "State of the Schools" presentation and answering questions.  

A few meeting notes:

  • As you join us for lunch this week, we respectfully ask that you silence your phones/notifications at the start of program. 

  • If you are paying for your lunch online, ​​​please click here to log into your Rotary Account.  Then click on "My Account Balance" to pay for your lunch.  Lunch is $20.00.  We will also be accepting payment at the meeting by check or exact cash.  A buffet meal will be hosted at the Carranor Club starting at 11:45am.

Baseball Buddies with Miracle League of NWO - Volunteer Opportunity
Baseball Buddies with Miracle League of NWO - Volunteer Opportunity
 
It's spring time in Northwest Ohio and that means the baseball fields are busy!  Our friends at the Miracle League of NWO have an amazing volunteer opportunity for us! 
 
On May 21st, at Brentwood Park (320 Brentwood Drive, Northwood, Ohio), the Miracle League of NWO will host 5 - 1 Hour baseball games.  They are in need of Baseball Buddies to join their baseball enthusiasts on the field to help them complete their baseball dreams.
 
All volunteers will be asked to fill out a Volunteer Registration Form and commit to one of the 5 games being hosted on May 21st.  .

Girls on the Run - Volunteer Opportunity 
 
Calling all volunteers!!!  The Girls on the Run NW Ohio has an awesome volunteer opportunity coming up for their 5k on May 13th!!
 
The You Glow Girl! Spring 5k will be held at The Shops at Fallen Timbers in Maumee.  The start times vary depending on which volunteer opportunity you are interested in.  A full list is detailed below. 
 
If you have specific questions regarding this event, please reach out directly to Marie Gaertner.
 
They need volunteers for the following activities to ensure our event is a success! 
  • Set-up and Tear Down
  • Registration
  • Course Marshalls
  • Running Buddies
  • Water Stations
  • Cheer Stations
  • Merchandise

Note: All volunteers appointed through our council will undergo a background check.  Click here to register directly to volunteer!

The Perrysburg Rotary Club is a proud supporter of the Girls on the Run NW Ohio program.  Last year we funded a grant request to help 25 young ladies with scholarships during the 2022 Fall Program.
