The Perrysburg Rotary Club is proud to welcome several members of the Perrysburg America 250th Committee as our guest speakers on Friday, May 15th, as we begin looking ahead to one of the most historic celebrations in our nation’s history. As America prepares to commemorate its 250th birthday in 2026, communities across the country are coming together to honor our nation’s past, celebrate the present, and inspire future generations. Here in Perrysburg, an incredible group of community leaders and volunteers has been hard at work planning meaningful events, engaging projects, and exciting opportunities for residents of all ages to take part in this once in a lifetime celebration. During this special Rotary meeting, members will learn more about the upcoming initiatives, community events, and collaborative projects that will help showcase Perrysburg’s pride, patriotism, history, and community spirit throughout the America 250 celebration. From family friendly events and educational opportunities to civic engagement and local partnerships, the committee’s vision reflects the very best of what makes Perrysburg such a special place to live, work, and serve. This promises to be an informative and inspiring program as we celebrate not only our nation’s history, but also the power of community involvement and local leadership. Leadership. Fellowship. Tradition. The is proud to continue one of our favorite traditions as we gather for the annual Past Presidents Dinner on Wednesday, May 27th at the Hilton Garden Inn. This special evening brings together the leaders who have helped shape our club through decades of service, fellowship, and community impact. As we prepare to turn the page to a new Rotary year, we look forward to welcoming incoming President Hallie Nagel, sharing a little presidential wisdom, and celebrating the incredible legacy of leadership within our club. To our past presidents, thank you for the countless hours, guidance, and dedication you have poured into Perrysburg Rotary. Your leadership continues to inspire the next generation of Rotarians as we continue to Unite for Good and prepare for another meaningful year of service above self. Here’s to honoring the past, celebrating the present, and building an even brighter future together. |

On Friday, May 29th, the Perrysburg Rotary Club is honored to welcome Jennifer Bohnsack, Location Lead for Isaiah 117 House in Lucas County, as our guest speaker. Jennifer brings with her a story rooted in compassion, community, and the belief that every child deserves comfort and dignity during life’s most difficult moments. Through her leadership with Isaiah 117 House, Jennifer has helped create a safe and welcoming space for children entering foster care across Northwest Ohio. When children are removed from their homes, they often face hours of uncertainty while waiting for placement with a foster or kinship family. Jennifer will share how Isaiah 117 House changes that experience by providing a calm, caring environment where children can rest, play, receive clean clothing and personal essentials, and simply feel safe during a traumatic transition. Jennifer’s passion for this mission grew after witnessing firsthand the overwhelming challenges children experience entering foster care. What followed was what she describes as a “community of yeses” as local businesses, volunteers, donors, and community members came together to make the Lucas County Isaiah 117 House a reality. From donated labor and building materials to thoughtfully prepared giving rooms stocked with essentials, the home stands as a remarkable example of what can happen when a community unites for good. Rotarians will hear an inspiring message about service, compassion, and the power of collective action to support vulnerable children and families in our region. Jennifer’s story is a meaningful reminder that even in moments of crisis, kindness and community can make all the difference. Join us as we learn more about the life changing work of Isaiah 117 House and how our community continues to create lasting impact through care and service. |
