Achieving More with Junior Achievement

2,400 students (1,230 of those students are in Perrysburg City Schools), 1,200 volunteers/presenters, 210 participating business, and 14 Counties. These impressive statistics are just a brief snapshot of what Junior Achievement of Northwestern Ohio is accomplishing in our area.
Jeff Bosch, President of Junior Achievement of Northwester Ohio (J.A.), was our guest speaker on Friday. Jeff provided us with a lot of information on the program and how it is impacting our local youth. The mission of J.A. is simple, the purpose is to inspire and prepare young people to succeed in a global economy. Entrepreneurship, work readiness, and financial literacy are the three pillars of student success the program focuses on. The J.A. program is currently being presented in 5 Perrysburg City School (Perrysburg High School, Frank, Toth, Woodland, and Fort Meigs Elementary Schools). Although the numbers are showing how successful the program is locally, there is still a strong need for volunteers. If J.A. could secure more volunteers, the program could be presented in the Perrysburg Middle School (the only Perrysburg School that is not being serviced by the program).
