Meeting News April 11, 2014

Rotarians-
Good morning! Hope to see you all at our meeting today at 11:45am. Lots of special guests on this beautiful Friday so be sure you don’t miss!
We say the Four Way Test each week and it’s easy to do so without stopping to think about the meaning. Today, we’ll get a chance to hear those words through the lens of some incredible youth. Abbey Griffioen and Eva Weigman, our local winners of the Four Way Test Speech contest, will join us and present their award winning speeches. Abbey represented our club in Van Wert at the District competition and actually took second prize overall…as a Freshman!
Remember that small little event we had on February 14th? You know, the tiny affair that grossed over $120,000? Well, today we are pleased to present our contributions to two of the beneficiaries of that organization, The Cocoon Shelter and Way Public Library.
The board of directors met this week and there are going to be lots of ways coming up soon to serve so get ready to sign-up and make a difference in our community. Here are some of the ways you can look forward to getting involved:
- Clean up day at Serenity Farm
- Work day at Growing to Give
- Inventory at MESA warehouse
- Fix the Float Day
- Creation of Rotary office space at Carranor
- Rotary Garage Sale
See you at Rotary!
