Our Featured Speaker
Our speaker tomorrow is Dr. Robert Lavey from Wood County Hospital. Dr. Lavey is certified by the American Board of Radiology. He received his B.A. magna cum laude from Harvard University and earned his Doctor of Medicine degree from Stanford University. He completed his residency in radiation oncology at Duke University and was awarded National Institutes of Health Postdoctoral Fellowships at the University of California, Berkeley School of Public Health and the Stanford University Department of Medicine. He has been an invited lecturer at international oncology meetings and/or guest professor at renowned universities all over the globe and is now Medical Director for the Cancer Center at Wood County Hospital in Bowling Green.
Dr. Lavey will offer a presentation on the The Cancer Care Center at Wood County Hospital. The Center features the most technologically advanced radiation therapy planning and delivery equipment available. The new facility which opened in March eliminates the need for patients to travel outside their community to receive highest quality radiation and chemotherapy treatments and clinical trials.
