Annual Meeting and Club Assembly

On Friday December 18th, the club hosted their Annual Meeting and Club Assembly.  President Fehnrich presented the club with an excellent presentation regarding the club's structure and upcoming events.  A few of the upcoming club events and topics are highlighted below:
  • There is still a need for additional members to help out with the Community Garage Sale.  If you are interested in volunteering your time for the Community Garage Sale, contact Chet Welch.
  • Club Dues have been sent out.  If you have questions regarding your dues and the change in the payment cycle, contact Cindy Russeau.
  • The PCU Thanksgiving Drive was a huge success this year.  $6,000.00 was raised this year and it helped to provide 130 families with thanksgiving meals.  Walmart was incredibly gracious and provided a great price on the turkeys and even took an additional $500.00 off our total bill.  Meijer was also very instrumental in helping to turn the remaining $1,500.00 into $3,000.00 for the PCU.  They matched dollar for dollar with gift cards.  Many thanks goes out to all those who donated, spent time organizing and participating in the drive.
  • The Bicentennial Committee is in full swing with their planning.  There are several events in the works to help kick off this huge celebration for the City of Perrysburg.  There are plenty of opportunities to volunteer for the Bicentennial events, if you are interested, please contact Bob and Jackie Venzel.
  • Mark your calendars for the first big Rotary event of 2016!  On Saturday, February 6th we will be hosting the 32nd Annual Charity Auction.  The benefiting charities will be Camp Couregous & The Arc of Northwest Ohio Inc. and the Perrysburg Rotary Service Foundation.  Tickets are now available for the auction and raffle tickets have been distributed to the members.  If you are interested in being a sponsor or donating to the auction, click here.
  • The Perrysburg Rotary Club is currently the leader for membership growth within the district.  We have had 11 new members in the first half of the year!  If you are interested in bringing a guest/prospective member to lunch, there is no charge.  We have new member packets at the Sergeant at Arms table.
  • Last but not least, the members participated in our Annual Club Elections.  Congratulations to Cindy Russeau (Treasurer), Pat Amico (Sergeant at Arms), Les Domini (Service Project Director), Phil Bollin (2nd Vice President), Greg Archambeau (Trustee), Joanie Asendorf (Trustee), and Dave Wise (Trustee).

We do not have a meeting on Friday December 25 or Friday, January 1, 2016.

We hope you all have a safe and wonderful Holiday!  See you next year!
