Recap from Friday, June 29th
On Friday, June 29th, our 2017 - 2018 Club President, Chet Welch, graciously performed one last executive decision during his term. President Welch officially gave our Polio Pig a pardon! The Polio Pig will now spend the rest of his time hanging out on shelf and will not be filled each week with change! Thank you to all the members who stepped up to the plate and completed the task of filling the Pig!!
Also on Friday, our dear friend, Tammi Haigh, gave her final presentation on one of our favorite Rotary sponsored programs, Learning Day by Day. Ms. Haigh has been the Program Director for several years and her dedication and passion for helping the students pass their state-mandated Third Grade Reading Guarantee has been unwavering! Thank you, Tammi!
To end our final meeting of the 2017 - 2018 Rotary year, President Welch and President Elect Alison Frye teamed up to ring the bell one last time. Earlier this month we celebrated the ceremonial passing of the gavel but Friday marked the final meeting in President Welch’s Rotary year!!

This past June we received resignations from members Barb Herman, Sarge Purewal, and Jeri Wendt. We are sad to see them go and hope they stop in at Rotary from time to time. If you have a moment, send them a quick message to thank them for their time and service to the Perrysburg Rotary Club.
In May of this year, Christine Vedra (Rotarian Joe Vedra's wife) passed away. They will be holding a Celebration of Life on Saturday, July 7th, at the Zenobia Shrine Center in Perrysburg. To read more about the Celebration of Life, click here.
