Join us Friday, August 2, as we welcome guest speaker, Scot Henshaw, Director of Business Operations - ET Chair, and Tammy McInerney, ET Program Manager + ETCA Chair, of Equality Toledo.

Scot Henshaw:"I grew up in the vibrant Old West End community, attending Rosary Cathedral and St. John’s Jesuit before continuing my education at UDM.

In my professional journey, I recently served as Vice President of Human Resources and Engagement at the United Way of Greater, following a significant tenure in the Senior Living sector. I have once again transitioned industries and I am now the Manager of Business Operations for Legal Aid of Western Ohio. Beyond my corporate responsibilities, I've dedicated myself to nonprofit endeavors, actively contributing to organizations such as Abstract Impact, Food for Thought, and currently serving as Chair for Equality Toledo. My focus remains steadfast on promoting inclusion, diversity, and acceptance, while driving meaningful change within our community.

On a personal level, my partner of 10 years and I share a home in the Old West End, where we cherish our time together with our six small pups. We take pride in maintaining a backyard oasis perfect for summer relaxation, and I indulge my passion for travel whenever possible. If you happen to be in the neighborhood, you might catch me cruising around on my golf cart!"

"Tammy was born and raised in Toledo, attending Whitmer High School.  She completed the Paramedic training program at UTMC and later attended Owens Community College receiving her Associate Degree in Health Information Management.

Tammy is currently the Program Manager at Equality Toledo.  Previously she was a Community Resource Advisor at 211.  In addition, she was the General Manager of National Camperland and served as Treasurer of the Northwest Ohio RV Dealers Association.  She is very passionate about LGBTQ+ activism and currently serves as Board Chair of ET Community Action and Lucas County Chair of the NW Ohio LGBTQ+ Coalition.

In her downtime Tammy enjoys going to hockey games with her spouse of 17 years and is an active dance mom with her 15 year old’s competitive dance team."
