As we prepare to close out our January Leadership Series, we hope you’ll join us this Friday, January 30, as we welcome Thasia Awad, Director of Development at Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northwestern Ohio, as our guest speaker.
Thasia brings a powerful blend of professional expertise and heart for service. With a background in clinical social work and decades of experience supporting youth and families, her leadership is grounded in empathy, equity, and relationship-building. In her current role, she helps advance mentoring and leadership development programs that equip young people to make healthy decisions, build resilience, and achieve their full potential.
As Rotarians, we often talk about leadership in action. Thasia’s work reminds us that leadership doesn’t always start at the podium or in a boardroom. It often begins by listening, building trust, and creating spaces where people feel supported and empowered to grow.
It feels especially fitting to close our January Leadership Series with a speaker whose work so closely aligns with Rotary’s values of service, connection, and investing in the future of our community. We encourage you to join us for what promises to be a meaningful and inspiring conversation as we wrap up a strong month together.
