Join us Friday, May 30, 2025, as we welcome guest speaker Representative Haraz Ghanbari, District 57.

State Representative Haraz N. Ghanbari (R-Perrysburg) has served in the Ohio House since 2019 and is now in his third term, representing the 75th District covering most of Wood County. With more than 20 years of military service, he is a Navy veteran of operations in Afghanistan and the Middle East, and an Army veteran of a peacekeeping mission in Bosnia. He currently serves as a Lieutenant Commander in the U.S. Navy Reserve and was inducted into the Ohio Veterans Hall of Fame in 2018 as its youngest member. Ghanbari previously served as Director of Military and Veteran Affairs at the University of Toledo.
The son of an Iranian immigrant, Ghanbari credits his parents' determination for inspiring his path of service. He earned a degree in Visual Journalism from Kent State, followed by graduate studies at the U.S. Naval War College and the University of Toledo. Before entering public service, he worked as a photojournalist for The Associated Press in Washington, traveling globally with top U.S. officials.
