Perrysburg Rotary Club President-Elect Hallie Housman Nagel recently attended the All Ohio Presidents-Elect Training Seminar (P.E.T.S.) in Columbus, a premier leadership event designed to prepare incoming Rotary club presidents for a successful year of service.
PETS brings together Rotarians from all five Ohio districts, representing more than 250 Rotary clubs statewide. The multi-day seminar equips Presidents-Elect with the tools, strategies, and inspiration needed to lead thriving clubs and create meaningful impact in their communities.
Throughout the weekend, Hallie engaged with fellow Presidents-Elect, built connections with Rotary leaders from across Ohio, and participated in interactive workshops focused on club growth, service initiatives, and effective leadership. The 2026 seminar centered around the theme:
Impact • Reach • Engage • Adapt
These guiding principles will shape Rotary efforts across the state in the coming year, encouraging clubs to strengthen their reach while remaining responsive to the evolving needs of their communities.
A highlight of the seminar was a presentation from Larry A. Lunsford of the Rotary Club of Kansas City-Plaza, who will serve as Rotary International President in 2027–2028. His message reinforced the powerful connection between local service and Rotary’s global mission. Attendees also heard from Mike DeWine and Fran DeWine, who were recognized for their partnership with Rotary districts across Ohio in support of Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library, a program that provides free monthly books to young children and promotes early childhood literacy throughout the state.
Hallie will become the 48th President of the Perrysburg Rotary Club, and her leadership theme, Create Lasting Impact, reflects both her vision and commitment to service. Her participation in P.E.T.S. is an important step in preparing for a year focused on meaningful community engagement and continued club growth.
The Perrysburg Rotary Club is proud of Hallie’s dedication and leadership, and we look forward to the positive impact her presidency will bring in the year ahead. The future is bright for Perrysburg Rotary.
