Rotary Run Results

The first annual Run for Recreation put on by the Perrysburg Rotary Club of Perrysburg was a success!  Nearly 50 Rotarians and community members came out to run the race -- in less than desirable weather conditions -- on October 1, 2011. 

The proceeds from the event will support the Perrysburg Rotary Community Park and help purchase playground equipment. Platinum level sponsors for the event include St. Julian’s Fitness (Rotarian Tom St. Julian) and YMCA (Rotarian Bryan Bockert) and the silver level sponsor was Award Concepts, Inc. (Rotarian Joanie Assendorf). Other sponsors providing in-kind donations include Welch Publishing (Rotarian John Welch), Giant Eagle, Dave’s Running Shop, Big Daddy Graphics, Toledo Roadrunner’s Club, and Kingston Healthcare (Rotarian Julie Roberts). 

The overall male race winner was Justin Hoover (age 26) with a time of 0:20’29. The overall female race winner was Megan Kunz (age 28) with a time of 0:20’47. Rotarians who ran the race were Cassie Egli, Jill Perry, Kelly Repka, Cindy Russeau and Rick Thielen.

This event next year will prove to be an even bigger success and we hope you can join us!
