Rotary Meeting - Pints for Polio

The Perrysburg Rotary Club is putting a fun twist on our weekly meeting on Friday, October 23, 2026, as we raise our glasses, raise awareness, and raise funds in honor of World Polio Day!

World Polio Day, recognized annually on October 24th, is an opportunity for Rotarians around the globe to celebrate the incredible progress made toward eradicating polio while renewing our commitment to finishing the job.

This year, we're bringing a little extra fun to our Friday lunch meeting with Pints for Polio!

Members and guests can expect a different spin on our traditional weekly gathering, with a mix of fascinating polio facts, a little friendly fun, plenty of Rotary fellowship, and opportunities to support Rotary's global mission to END POLIO NOW.

Why We Raise Our Pints

For more than 35 years, Rotary International has been a driving force in the global effort to eradicate polio. Since launching PolioPlus in 1985, Rotary and its partners have helped reduce polio cases worldwide by more than 99.9%.

But the work isn't finished.

As long as polio exists anywhere in the world, children everywhere remain at risk. Through continued education, vaccination efforts, advocacy, and fundraising, Rotarians are working to make polio the second human disease ever eradicated, following smallpox.

During our gathering, we'll highlight how Rotary's PolioPlus Fund supports the fight against polio and how even small contributions can make a lasting impact.

Thanks to the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation's 2-to-1 matching commitment, eligible donations to Rotary's PolioPlus Fund can have triple the impact in helping protect children around the world.
