Meeting News 11.21.14

Good evening, Rotarians -
We've got one more meeting this November and at least two opportunities to show your gratitude for the blessings we enjoy with our families. Read through this week's bulletin for your last chance to give to the Perrysburg Christians United Thanksgiving Food Drive. We are about $600 short of our 2013 tally and we have until this Friday at lunch to make a gift online or by check to Ken Robinson. The stories about PCU's clients and food insecurity in Perrysburg that Jill Perry-Smith shares are humbling. We can make a huge difference in Northern Wood County. If you haven't yet made a donation, please consider doing so now.
We are also wrapping up our Rotary International Foundation Month. Read below to see how easy it is to sign up for Rotary Direct to have your contributions securely and conveniently debited against your preferred credit card. Or, wait a little longer and make your $100 sustaining member gift when paying your annual dues. You might even consider making a gift of $1,000 to join the Paul Harris Society as part of your year-end planning. Every Rotarian has the chance to Do Good in the World through the Rotary Foundation. If you have questions about giving or donor recognition for yourself or a family member, please reach out to Jeff Normand.
Before you kick off your holidays, be sure to join us for lunch at the Carranor this week. We'll hear from JD Justus about law enforcement in early Perrysburg. You'll remember JD from his years of service with the Perrysburg Police Division and his current service with the Perrysburg Area Historic Museum's Spafford House. I'm sure we'll also hear an update on our Interact Club progress, our Annual Auction, and our upcoming Holiday Party. As I reflect on those things for which I am thankful, your participation and enthusiasm for Rotary is high on my list.
