Perrysburg Rotary e-Bulletin for April 6, 2016

 
 
It is always a great honor to welcome a new member to our club and this past week we had the privilege of welcoming our newest member, Max Lambdin.  Max is Vice President of Mission Advancement at Cherry Street Mission Ministries.    Max and his wife Deb are Perrysburg residents and the proud parents of three beautiful children!  Be sure to stop by at our next meeting and welcome Max to the best Rotary Club in the world!
 
Speaking of our next meeting, please remember that we will be taking "Rotary on the Road" this coming week (April 8th).  Penta Career Center and Rotarian Ron Matter will be hosting this annual meeting.  During the meeting we will have the pleasure of learning more about the STRIVE program and experiencing the many talents of the culinary department.  We look forward to seeing you all at Penta!
Grab your calendars because we are gearing up for a busy April.  Our first April event will be "Paint for Polio" on April 15th.  This fun filled event is sure to be a night full of creativity and fellowship all while supporting a great cause, "Polio Plus"!  Below is a flyer for more information or click here for a direct link to register!
 

 

On Saturday, April 16th, the annual "Kids Against Hunger Food Build" (United with AWHS Interact, Maumee Interact, Perrysburg Interact, Eastwood  Key Club and ISOH/Impact) is being held at Gateway Middle School in Maumee, Ohio.  
 
If you are interested in participating in the one of the time slots below, please contact Hallie Nagel directly.  We are limited to only 6 Rotarians/Volunteers.

2:30 pm – 4:30 pm

 

As we head towards the end of the month, we will all be looking forward to a little fellowship, food and drinks at Poco Piatti!  Be sure to clear your schedules and join us on April 25th, from 5 pm - 7 pm for Rotary After Hours @ Poco.  This successful fellowship event has been a great addition to our monthly Rotary Calendar!

 

 

To finish off the month of April, the Way Public Library will be kicking off the highly anticipated Perrysburg Bicentennial with a "Bicentennial Birthday Party" on April 27th!  The library will be hosting a "party" all day.  Below is a list of the events that will be taking place that day.

-Perrysburg’s 200th Birthday Trivia Contest. A question and answer game sponsored by Way and the Messenger Journal
- Bicentennial Lecture Series—“20 Decades of Perrysburg History,”. At 7 p.m. we will present the first lecture in our series with Local History Librarian/author Richard Baranowski
